Hinn Íslenzki Þursaflokkur

To celebrate its 30 year anniversary “Hinn íslenzki Þursaflokkur” is going to perform in Laugardalshöll, Reykjavík on 23. of February. The band has not been active since 1982 so it will be a memorable moment when the band climbs on stage and plays the most famous songs again with the support of the well known Icelandic chamber orchestra “CAPUT“. Þann 15. febrúar 2008 hefði Bergþóra Árnadóttir fagnað 60 ára afmæli sínu. Að því tilefni verða haldnir tónleikar til minningar um söngvaskáldið og baráttukonuna en hún lést langt fyrir aldur fram í mars 2007. Read more »

Tango marathon in Reykjavík

There will be 24 hours of tango in Reykjavik 9.-10. February. An Icelandic cellist Hrafnkell Orri Egilsson has called together 5 musicians and this quintet will perform argentinian tango on saturday 9. february at 22:30 in Iðnó. You can read more about the Tango marathon here: www.tango.is
