Reijo Kumpulainen visited Iceland

Finnish accordion player Reijo Kumpulainen visited Iceland in April. Reijo and Tatu played 7 concerts around Iceland for enthusiastic accordion publicum.

The program was directed to those accordion music lovers who like the older entertainment music like the classic melodies by Pietro Frosini and other songs composed in this style. Reijo also played his own compositions that he had published in his new CD ‘Tunturin tuuli kertoo’, released in January 2007.The concert tour began from Iceland’s capital city Reykjavik and continued then to north and east Iceland. The tour was organized by EG Tónar, one of the major companies importing accordions to Iceland. Einar Guðmundsson (EG Tónar) set up an accordion exhibition of 40 accordions on every concert place.
